Why We Hold Ceremony:

At Sacred House of Eden, we believe womanhood is not linear — it unfolds through sacred thresholds. From a young woman’s First Moon to the anticipation of birth, from postpartum restoration to life transitions such as healing, loss, retirement, or renewal, each chapter deserves to be witnessed with intention.

Our ceremonies are thoughtfully designed to mark these passages with reverence, presence, and community. Whether honoring the beginning of menstruation, welcoming motherhood, or closing a season of life, we create space for you to slow down, exhale, and feel fully supported in your becoming.

Our Approach:

Rather than offering events or gatherings, we facilitate guided ceremonies — purposeful, personal, and powerfully grounded in respect for your unique journey. These moments are not simply observed… they are felt, carried, and remembered.

When we feel into the universe we live upon and when we feel the hearts of others we find ourselves in the vibration of a ceremonial experience. This is how you witness the sacred and how you mark the important social, biological and psychological turning points in your daily life.

It is not only that we want to bring about an easy labor, without risking injury to the mother or the child; we must go further. We must understand that childbirth is fundamentally a spiritual, as well as a physical, achievement. . . The birth of a child is the ultimate perfection of human love.
— Dr. Grantly Dick-Read

Ceremony is our living connection to the sacred.

Ceremonies & Rituals We Offer

Below you’ll find the sacred experiences designed to honor the pivotal chapters of womanhood:

First Moon Ceremony:

Honoring the First Initiation of Womanhood

The First Moon Ceremony marks a young woman’s first menstrual cycle — a sacred threshold into womanhood. This intentional gathering allows the women in her life to surround her with affirmation, wisdom, and loving guidance as she steps into this new chapter.

Rooted in symbolism of the four directions and elements, the ceremony reflects balance, harmony, and connection. Mothers, grandmothers, and trusted women gather to witness and honor her transition with reverence and care — acknowledging both the physical shift and the strength awakening within her.

This is a moment to slow down, to affirm her value, and to intentionally bless her path forward.

*Recommended during the early stages of her first cycle, with planning ideally beginning soon after her First Moon.

Fee: $777

Mother’s Blessing Ceremony:

Honoring the Second Initiation of Womanhood

Pregnancy is a profound and transformative passage. Before birth begins, the Mother’s Blessing ceremony creates intentional space to honor you — the woman preparing to cross into motherhood either for the first time or once again.

Surrounded by a circle of trusted women, this gathering focuses on affirmation, encouragement, and collective support. Unlike a traditional baby shower, which centers gifts for the baby, a Mother’s Blessing centers the mother — her strength, her becoming, and the sacred transition ahead.

This ceremony is typically held around 34–35 weeks of pregnancy, allowing space to gather in reverence before the final weeks of preparation and on-call support begin.

Inspired by traditional women-centered blessing gatherings, this experience honors the universal need for community, encouragement, and sacred witnessing during life’s most powerful transitions.

Fee: $1, 444

Sacred Belly Binding Ceremony:

Honoring Postpartum Transition and Renewal

Pregnancy opens the body to new life, and belly binding is a ritual of gentle containment — marking the close of pregnancy and the beginning of postpartum recovery. This time-honored practice offers physical support while symbolically acknowledging the profound transformation the body has experienced.

Alongside the binding tradition, we incorporate a guided burning ritual, where the new mother is invited to release anything — spiritual, emotional, or mental — that no longer serves her. This ceremony creates space for grounding, restoration, and a renewed sense of self as she settles into motherhood.

Fee: $555

The Sealing Ceremony:

Honoring Closure and New Beginnings

The Sealing Ceremony is a ritual of intentional closure — a sacred pause that marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. While often offered during the postpartum period to support a mother’s physical and emotional transition, this ceremony extends far beyond birth.

Life unfolds in cycles. Each transition — whether joyful or painful — carries its own transformation. The Sealing Ceremony creates space to acknowledge what has been, gently release what no longer serves, and step forward grounded and renewed.

This ceremony may be held for:

• Postpartum integration
• Menopause and the honoring of wisdom
• Cancer survivorship and renewal
• Grief and loss
• Divorce, retirement, or other life transitions

Wherever you find yourself closing one chapter and opening another, this ritual offers intentional space for reflection, release, and restoration.

*Sealing ceremonies are often held around 40 days postpartum or later, though they may be scheduled whenever a woman feels called to mark a meaningful transition.
