Ceremonies
Ceremony is our living connection to the sacred.
“When we feel into the universe we live upon and when we feel the hearts of others we find ourselves in the vibration of a ceremonial experience. This is how you witness the sacred and how you mark the important social, biological and psychological turning points in your daily life.”
“It is not only that we want to bring about an easy labor, without risking injury to the mother or the child; we must go further. We must understand that childbirth is fundamentally a spiritual, as well as a physical, achievement. . . The birth of a child is the ultimate perfection of human love.”
We offer…
First Moon Ceremony:
Honoring the First Initiation of Womanhood
This sacred ritual empowers and channels the life force into a positive, clear direction. The First Moon (Menses) Ceremony marks a young woman’s first initiation into womanhood—a moment of profound importance for her and for our world. We have the choice to honor and enlighten this powerful time or to ignore its sacred purpose.
The ceremony is rooted in the four directions and elements, symbolizing balance and harmony. Women from the young woman’s family gather in celebration, honoring her ascension into womanhood and recognizing the sacred transition she is experiencing.
Fee: $511
Mother’s Blessing Ceremony:
The Second Initiation of Womanhood
The second initiation of womanhood is the incredible and transformative experience of giving birth. Before this intense journey begins, the pregnant mother is honored through a circle ceremony, where she and her unborn child are blessed. Surrounded by a supportive community of women, the ceremony celebrates and honors the next step into womanhood.
While pregnancy brings excitement and appreciation for the attention given to your unborn child, the purpose of the Mother’s Blessing Ceremony is to celebrate you—your rites of passage into motherhood, with the women closest to you. Unlike a traditional baby shower, which focuses on the new life you will bring into the world, the Mother’s Blessing is a celebration of your journey as a newborn mother. This special event is typically held one month before your estimated due date.
This ceremony is inspired by the Navajo Blessingway, where pregnant women of the tribe are honored and blessed as they transition into motherhood.

Sacred Belly Binding Ceremony
Pregnancy opens the body to new life, and binding is a ceremony of "sealing" the body, marking the end of pregnancy and the transition into motherhood. This ancient art is used to support the healing process and aid in the restoration of the body to its pre-pregnancy state.
Alongside the binding tradition, we also perform a burning ritual, where the new mother symbolically releases anything—spiritual, physical, or emotional—that no longer serves her purpose. This ceremony helps cleanse and empower the new mother as she steps fully into her role with a renewed sense of self.
Fee: $411
The Sealing Ceremony:
Honoring New Beginnings
After the birth of your baby, you may find that your role as a mother has been redefined. You’ve grown accustomed to carrying your newborn within you, and now, you must adjust to holding them in your arms. The Sealing Ceremony supports your postpartum healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—as you begin to embrace your deeper role as a mother.
However, Sealing Ceremonies are not limited to postpartum women. This sacred ritual can be performed for any significant life transition that requires closure and renewal. Examples include:
Menopause: As the last blood gives rise to new power, this ceremony celebrates the wisdom and timeless role of the wise woman and crone, honoring the third initiation of womanhood.
Cancer Survivors: A ceremony marking survival and new beginnings after a profound journey.
Grief: Honoring the loss of a loved one and sealing the transition into a new chapter of life.
Life Transitions: Whether you're ending one journey or beginning another, this ceremony symbolizes the closure and the opening of new pathways.
The Many Cycles of Womanhood
The many cycles of a woman’s life can be seen as sacred rites of passage, each one marking a journey into the unknown. These transitions—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—carry deep meaning, signifying growth, transformation, and the unfolding of a new chapter.
